Guestbooks are not always appropriate for commercial websites but
they can be an excellent way of adding interactivity to your site.
Visitors from all over the world can say hello and pass on their
best wishes.
Unfortunately some people take great delight in adding
abusive or inappropriate messages. Our guestbooks do inform you via
email when a new message is added to your site but is a annoying
(although quite easy) to have to keep removing offending messages.
In practice, guestbooks are more trouble than they are worth. We
recommend that you refrain from using a guestbook unless you are
fully prepared to deal with the resulting workload.
Forums only really work if you have lots of subscribers with plenty
to say. If you don't have new posts regularly appearing subscribers
will stop visiting.
