Time passes so quickly - we really should live every day to it's full potential.

mickwood.com understand that customers want more control of their website, faster servers, and a control panel with more features. We are in the process of moving all of our clients onto new servers which are three times faster than our current ones. The new servers include a new control panel that provides total control of your website and includes lots of superb new preinstalled features. For example you could host your own Chat room, bulletin board, Forum, or even install a complete content management system at the click of a button. The hardest part is choosing from all of the options.

The moving of these websites involves no downtime and no extra costs although we will be forced to change the login information for email accounts, FTP/FrontPage accounts, and MySQL databases. The configuration of any scripts and programs will be updated so that they continue to work properly. Customers will be advised as necessary of any changes.

This week I've configured and set up a newsletter subscription service. It's really easy to subscribe to, or unsubscribe from, my monthly newsletter. You can also read my first newsletter online.

I've also added some new features to the showcase. Check out the counters and clocks, and the date, and countdown / countup utilities. They are pretty good and really easy to install.

I'll be adding more of the new preinstalled features soon so that you can take a look.

This week we received a cheque for The Harvesters Trust from Secure Giving. - this represents our first online donation :-)

If you would like to make a "Guaranteed 100% Secure"online donation to The Harvesters Trust, or if you would just like to find out a bit more, please visit http://www.mickwood.com/general/missions.shtml.

This week I'm off to Cannes in the south of France to visit the MILIA Multimedia Exhibition - I'm really looking forward to meeting other multimedia professionals and companies from all over the world.

See you next week.

God bless, Mick #

So, here we are, the end of another busy week.

This week I have started to promote the new site. There are 100's of Christian Directories & Search Engines - it's amazing. Anyway, I've submitted mickwood.com to about a dozen so far. If you know of any good ones please let me know.

I've added a couple of links to directories at the bottom of the homepage which you may find interesting. I'll be adding lots more in due course. If you like the new site please vote for it by clicking on the "Cross Daily" button.

I've also added a "Statement of Faith." This is the same Statement of Faith as used by the Evangelical Alliance.

I've also updated the Search Engine and Sitemap to reflect the latest additions.

I would really appreciate your prayers. My MSc thesis is due in about 6 weeks and there is still lots to do.

God bless, Mick #

Welcome to the mickwood.com online journal. At last, after weeks of hard work, the new mickwood.com website is "live".

Feedback from experienced web designers has been very positive with only minor changes suggested and implemented.

This week also sees the launch of the new Macromedia site. This has generated dozens of messages on the Dreamweaver Forum- some people like the site but it seems that the jury is still out for the majority.

The interesting thing is that the site has been released as a Beta version. In other words Macromedia know that the site has problems and needs more work. Seems strange that a major software company should choose to release their new site in this way.

I've added a Calendar to the showcase and updated the sitemap.

God bless, Mick #
